Baglung, April 23:

The Baglung district unit of the Nepali Congress said today that terror unleashed by the Maoists and the Rastriya Janmorcha was to blame for the party’s poor showing in the CA polls in Baglung 1 and 2. The NC managed to win only Baglung 3 seat under the first-past-the-post system.

The NC unit came to this conclusion based on an internal assessment made by its district working committee.

Committee secretary Prakash Poudel said, “We lost in seat 2 because the Rastriya Janmorcha unleashed terror and resorted to booth capturing. In Baglung 1, the Maoists resorted to terror tactics and booth capturing.”
