The NC expelled its central member Sarad Singh Bhandari, district vice-president Raj Kishor Mandal, mahasamiti member Narendra Yadav, Arun Yadav and Hari Narayan Yadav on Thursday. A statement issued by the NC district secretary, Bajrang Nepali, said six leaders and cadres were expelled since they violated party policy and norms. It stated that election publicity committees had been formed in six constituencies in the district. Those expelled have filed their candidature for the first-past-the-post elections from the TMDP and MJF. — HNS
