NUWAKOT: Nepali Congress spokesperson Arjun Narsingh KC today said that the Maoist proposal for a new government led by NC was merely a ploy to cause a rift among the ruling coalition partners.

Addressing a meet organised by Press Union Nuwakot, KC said, ‘’The NC will not desert the CPN-UML to form an alliance with the UCPN-Maoist.’’ He opined that the present government should take the peace process to a logical end

and draft the constitution within the specified time.

Reasoning that the peace and the statute drafting processes could not be concluded by isolating the UCPN-Maoists, KC, however, said the Maoists were creating hurdles in the peace process.
