NC tops PR votes' chart in Udayapur

GAIGHAT, UDAYAPUR: The Nepali Congress (NC), which failed to score well in the recently held direct elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies, has come out the first in Udayapur district under proportional representation system.

It has received the total 40,947 votes followed by the CPN-UML with 36,812 votes. Likewise, the CPN Maoist Centre is in the third position with 18,477 votes.

Meanwhile, a total of 18,886 votes were invalid in the direct polls in the district.
