Nepal all set for ODI debut against the Netherlands today

KATHMANDU: The youngest One Day International (ODI) side, Team Nepal, will play its first ever one-day match against the Netherlands on Wednesday.

The first game of the two-match limited over series will start at 2:45 pm (Nepali time), at VRA Ground, Amstelveen.

Nepal got the one-day international status after it defeated Papua New Guinea in the seventh-place playoff semi-final under the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers in Zimbabwe on March 15.

The Nepali team led by Paras Khadka comprise India Premier League debutant Sandip Lamichhane, Anil Kumar Sah, Basanta Regmi, Dipendra Singh Aire, Gynendra Malla, Karan KC, Lalit Bhandari, Lalit Rajbamshi, Aarif Shekh, Rohit Kumar Poudel, Shakti Gauchan, Sharad Bheshwakar, Sompal Kami and Subash Khakurel.

The second match is scheduled for August 3.
