Nepal's ambassador to Pakistan calls for more trade and investment

KATHMANDU: The Islamabad-based Embassy of Nepal organised an interaction programme with the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industries (RCCI), Rawalpindi, on Monday with the objective of promoting Nepal's trade, tourism and investment.

Speaking at the programme organised at the RCCI building, RCCI President Raja Amer Iqbal underlined that both the countries could benefit if the existing vast potentialities in the field of trade, industry, tourism and investment between the two countries were to be unleashed.

Iqbal highlighted major activities and achievements of RCCI over the last few years. He also expressed commitment to enhance bilateral trade, investment and tourism between the two countries.

Also speaking at the programme, Nepali Ambassador to Pakistan, Sewa Lamsal Adhikari, shed light on Nepal's provisions and policies relating to industry, trade, tourism and investment.

She thanked RCCI for the willingness to increase engagement with Nepal and expressed her commitment to facilitate business communities.

Ambassador Adhikari called upon all to visit Nepal, highlighting the provision of free and on-arrival visa facilities to the Pakistani nationals.

She also invited the business communities to invest in Nepal underscoring major facilities accorded to the investors in Nepal.

Ambassador Adhikari also expressed her willingness to organise 'Made in Nepal' exhibition in Pakistan in cooperation with the RCCI in near future.
