Nepal COVID-19 Update: 318 new cases, 383 recoveries and six fatalities recorded on Wednesday

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Health Ministry shared the latest updates on coronavirus contagion from across the country.

Till date, 2,026,726 tests through Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method have been carried out wherein 5,012 tests were performed in the last 24 hours.

At present, there are 172 people under quarantine in various facilities across the country. The number of active cases in Nepal is 3,693.

318 new cases of the coronavirus infection were registered today taking the national tally to 268,310.

As many as 383 persons earlier diagnosed with the disease have tested negative in the last 24 hours. With the recent addition, the national COVID-19 recovery tally has now reached 262,642.

Meanwhile, six more fatalities were confirmed by the Ministry today, with which the country’s COVID-19 death tally has reached 1,975.

As of today, the country has witnessed 268,310 cases of the coronavirus infection while 262,642 people have recovered from the disease. Meanwhile, 1,975 COVID-19 fatalities have been confirmed.
