Nepal COVID-19 Update: 445 new cases, 414 recoveries, five fatalities

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Health Ministry shared the latest updates on coronavirus contagion from across the country.

Till date, 1,997,009 tests through Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method have been carried out wherein 4,154  tests were performed in the last 24 hours.

At present, there are 237 people under quarantine in various facilities across the country. The number of active cases in Nepal is 4,434.

445 new cases of the coronavirus infection were registered today taking the national tally to 266,143.

As many as 414 persons earlier diagnosed with the disease have tested negative in the last 24 hours. With the recent addition, the national COVID-19 recovery tally has now reached 259,772.

Meanwhile, five more fatalities were confirmed by the Ministry today, with which the country’s COVID-19 death tally has reached 1,937.

As of today, the country has witnessed 266,143 cases of the coronavirus infection while 259,772 people have recovered from the disease. Meanwhile, 1,937 COVID-19 fatalities have been confirmed.
