Nepal PM calls Modi to condole India train accident deaths

KATHMANDU: Nepal's Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Sunday evening called up Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to condole the deaths in the train accident in Kanpur of Uttar Pradesh.

More than 100 people lost their life after a train heading to Indore from Patna of Bihar derailed early today.

Prime Minister Dahal expressed condolence to the bereaved families on behalf of the Government of Nepal and Nepali citizens, according to a post on Dahal's personal Facebook page.

Earlier, President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister Dahal had sent separate messages to their counterparts to expressing sorrow over the fatalities in the train accident.
