Nepal-India tie-up to tame JTMM

Biratnagar, June 14:

Nepal and India have agreed to cooperate better to stem the rising tide of activities of the two Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morchas — JTMM-Jwala Singh and JTMM-Jaya Krishna Goit — on the border.

The two JTMMs’ activities have been escalating in the east Tarai with a spillover into India’s bordering areas. Today, in a meeting at the Armed Police Force eastern regional headquarters, deputy inspector general SS Shekhawat of the Indian Sashastra Seema Bal urged his Nepali counterpart APF DIG Rabindra Pratap Shah to strive jointly to control rising crimes of the JTMMs.

Shah said his Indian counterpart assured that the Indian security men would do their best in checking crime on the border.
