KATHMANDU: Nepal will open 4G service in the urban areas soon, according to Minister for Information and Communications Sher Dhan Rai.

Speaking to the media at his office on Monday, Minister Rai said efforts are being made to launch 4G service, based on the fourth generation wireless mobile telecommunications technology, after October.

Rai informed that the amended Radio Frequency (Pricing and Distribution) Policy, 2073, has already come into effect and the radio frequency service will be properly managed now.
