KATHMANDU: Nepal faced second consecutive defeat and got eliminated from the qualifying round of Asian Football Confederation (AFC)'s U-23 Football Championship.

Qatar outshined Nepal 5-0 in the football tournament held at Sports City Centre in Doha of Qatar last night.

Nepal's hope to go through qualifying round from Group 'A' has dented with the loss. Earlier, Nepal was defeated by Oman.

In Qatar's victory, Captain B Al Rawi and Abdullah Al Ahrak netted two goals each and Nepal made a suicide goal.
