Nepal PM pays courtesy call on India President

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is currently in India on a state visit, paid a courtesy call on Indian President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday evening.

On the occasion, Oli extended an invitation to the Indian Head of the State for a visit to Nepal, according to the Rastriya Samachar Samiti.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Kamal Thapa, Minister for Finance Bishnu Prasad Paudel, Minister for Home Affairs Shakti Bahadur Basnet, Prime Minister's Chief Advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal, Foreign Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi and Indian Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae as well as PM's wife Radhika Shakya were present during the meeting.

Meanwhile, Oli also called on India's Vice-President Mohammad Hamid Ansari at the latter's resident this evening.

Oli had held a formal meeting with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi earlier today.
