KATHMANDU, AUGUST 24
The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal active caseload has reached to 4,298 on Wednesday as 242 people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.
The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 996,231 while the death toll remains at 11,995 as one fatality was recorded today.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 979,938 with 164 discharges logged today.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 4,177 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 1,803 were PCR tests while 2,371 were antigen tests.
With this, a total of 5,878,359 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests confirmed 245 positive cases in the past 24 hours. Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.4%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.
Currently, there are no individuals in any quarantine facilities across Nepal.
