Nepal, UAE fight for top spot in WCL2 final
KATHMANDU: Nepal is playing against UAE in the final of ICC World Cricket League Division Two series in Namibia on Thursday.
UAE have won the toss and invited Nepal to field first at the match being held today in Windhoek.
Nepal and UAE have both secured a spot for themselves at the ICC World Cup Qualifier tournament to be held in Zimbabwe this March. The top two teams in the qualifier will qualify to play the World Cup.
The winner of today's match will join West Indies, Ireland, Nethelands and Papua New Guinea in Group A. The runner-up will join Group B comprising Zimbabwe, Scotland, Hong Kong and Afghanistan.
Earlier, Nepal had defeated UAE by four wickets on the ninth match of the series on the same field held on February 11. Paras Khadka was declared Man of the Match in that game.
