‘NC allying with Chand-led Maoists’

Chitwan, November 13

CPN-Maoist Centre Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal today said that he would work for the country’s prosperity at least for 10 years.

Speaking to party activists and journalists at his residence in Chitwan metropolis today, Dahal underscored the need to work for the welfare of people and prosperity of the country irrespective of political ideology.

“I spent 10 years developing a political doctrine and in forming organisation formation after I started politics. The next 10 years I spent introducing republicanism and on the peace process. Ten years from now, I will invest in the country’s prosperity,” claimed Dahal.

Dahal said his party and the UML would proceed with party unification by settling all the things that are feasible, while things that are problematic will be settled through regular discussion.

“The people and country are greater than any political ideology. Ideological differences can be sorted out keeping the welfare of the country and its citizens at the centre,” said Dahal.

Dahal, who is also a former PM, accused Netra Bikram Chand-led Maoist activists of attacking election candidates of his party in Rolpa and Rukum.

He charged that the Nepali Congress was colluding with the Maoist party. He said, “We have got a report that these two forces have reached agreement that one force would terrify voters and the other force would continue its election publicity campaign.
