KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress said it has fielded candidates in all 283 local levels in 34 districts where elections are being held on May 14.

The candidates filed their nomination on Tuesday.

Local elections in four metropolitan cities, one sub-metropolitan city, 92 municipality and 183 rural municipalities that lie in Province No. 3, 4 and 6 are scheduled for May 14.

Elections in the remaining provinces will be held on June 14 after increasing the number of local levels in the Tarai districts.

In a statement issued on Tuesday night, Nepali Congress said the pary candidates have been ere unanimously elected in some rural municipalities and wards.
