Nepali Congress deplores arson attack on leader's house

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress has deplored the arson attack on the house of its Khotang district leader Tirtha Raj Bhattarai and demanded probe into the incident.

Issuing a statement, the Nepali Congress central office demanded that the government took against those involved in the attack, and provided peace and security to the people.

According to the party, an unidentified group had set Bhattarai's house in Chiuridanda on fire on June 8.

There was no casualty but locals had reportedly rescued the occupants to safety.
