BIRGUNJ: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has urged the United Democratic Madhesi Front to support the Constitution amendment proposal likely to be registered in the Parliament today.

Addressing a press conference organised by the Parsa chapter of Nepal Press Union, Deuba expressed his confidence that the main opposition party, the CPN-UML, too would vote in favour of the proposal.

In response to a question, he said the ruling parties had prioritised Province Number 2 in the Constitution amendment proposal.

Deuba further said he believed that the proposal would be registered today as talks with the UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli regarding the same had been positive.
