NC victorious in Morang PR election

BIRATNAGAR: The Nepali Congress (NC) has won the Proportional Representation election with 160,546 votes from all six constituencies of Morang District of Province 1.

Likewise, CPN UML and CPN Maoist Centre have emerged as second and third largest parties in the region with 144824 and 44951 votes respectively.

Meanwhile, more than five percent of total votes were rendered invalid in the District. Out of 459172 votes cast in PR election, 41571 were invalid. Similarly, out of 465034 votes cast in House of Representative election, 24644 turned invalid.
