Nepalis against extremism of all types: Survey

The Nepali society is against all kind of extremists, be it an active monarchy or an authoritarian republican government system, a survey conducted by the National Lawyers Forum for Rule of Law Nepal states.
On their faith in monarchy, 7.54 of the respondents said they have too much faith in monarchy, 42.97 per cent said they have some faith; whereas 33.75 per cent of the respondents had not much faith in monarchy.
“People have rejected dividing politics practised in the name of ethnicity or some other aspect. They have opposed the concept of ethnic autonomous region or federal government system, which is inappropriate in the context of Nepal,” states the survey.
