KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has recorded a sudden plunge today morning. According to a notice issued by NEPSE, the market operations had been suspended after the NEPSE index had decreased by three percent. NEPSE had imposed a circuit breaker after the stocks plunged by three percent in less than an hour, halting the tradings and giving a break to the financial activities. The market has now resumed operations, after which the index is slowly seen on a rising trend. NEPSE had suffered a double digit plunge last Thursday. The indices of the traded sectors had extended losses by 0.86 percent as the market closed at 1220.44 points last week.
