Chand-led CPN’s Dhading secy held

Dhading, September 17

The Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal Dhading Secretary Buddha Gurung Ghale was arrested from Pipalmod of Dhunibesi Municipality-9, Dhading, today morning.

Police arrested Ghale at 6:00am while he was heading for Kathmandu on a motorbike through Naubise along Tribhuvanpath. He has been kept in the custody of Dhading District Police Office.

He was made public in a press meet today. SP Raj Kumar Baidawar said five cases, including possession of explosive devices and organised crime, have been registered against Ghale. Police filed cases accusing him of planting a bomb at Muktinath temple, torching NCell towers at various places and organised crime. Cases have been filed against 13, including Ghale.

Cherung Tamang, Tika Khatiwada, Ishwor Pandey and Dhan Bahadur Ghale, who are fighting the cases were arrested earlier. Of them, three were freed on bail of Rs 1 lakh each except Pandey. Cherung has parted ways with Chand’s party and joined Samajbadi Party.

Pandey was sent to jail after he failed to post bail. Eight persons facing the charges are still at large, according to Dhading District Police Office.
