New alliance for AIDS project
Kathmandu, November 28:
The UNICEF, Family Health International, National Association of People Living with HIV/AIDS in Nepal and the US government through the USAID are launching a partnership tomorrow to support the Nepal government in achi-eving universal access for children and their families to HIV prevention, treatment, care and support.
The Universal Access for Children Affected by AIDS in Nepal partnership will work under the coordination of the National Centre for AIDS and STD Control to mitigate the impact of HIV/AIDS on children in Nepal.
“The partnership seeks protection, care and support for children affected by AIDS, with the goal of ensuring early entry into care and/or treatment and to increase access to comprehensive services for children throughout the country,” states a joint statement issued today.
