‘New govt will soon take charge’

Pokhara, January 11

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Yagya Bahadur Thapa today said that the incumbent Deuba-led coalition would soon vacate their offices.

Inaugurating a trade fair held by Pokhara Chambers of Commerce and Industry here, Minister Thapa clarified the incumbent government would hand over duties of governance to the forces mandated by the people. He added that the incumbent government had no authority to declare provincial capitals as only two-third majority in the provincial assemblies had the right to do so. However, the government would appoint province chiefs and fix the offices of the provincial assemblies soon.

Speaking on the trade fair, Thapa assured PCCI that state-of-the-art infrastructure such as conference hall, bus park and ring road would be constructed in Pokhara. He also said that development and prosperity were not possible without joining hands with the private sector.
