Kathmandu, March 20:
The National Front for Democracy (NFD)-Bhutan has prepared its agenda to launch maximum political movement inside Bhutan to establish democracy and human rights in the country.
The full bench of members of the NFD-Bhutan central committee has decided to initiate the movement "keeping in view of the prevailing situation".
"The NFD-Bhutan feels that there is no alternative to the political movement for democracy for which it calls for committed and dedicated support of all the pro-democracy Bhutanese both in exile and inside Bhutan," an NFD-Bhutan statement said today. The decision, as NFD-Bhutan said, was made after the members reviewed its performances for the period of twelve months and analysed the report thoroughly and resolved to make certain corrective measures that could give productivity to the forthcoming programmes.
"Of the diverse strategies being worked out, the coordination of the Front with the people in exile has been viewed as a vital component of the political programme for which the immediate step shall be to understand views of the people in exile." As a process, the NFD-Bhutan claimed to have succeeded in creating its networks through formation of committees at exit and central points of our program fields both in exile and inside the country.
