Nepali Congress spokesperson, Arjun Narsingh KC, today said Girija Prasad Koirala should be elected as party president for the next term. Addressing a press conference in Dhangadhi, he said Koirala will be the best option at a time when the country needs a ‘commander’ to fight for democracy. “Koirala should be elected party president unanimously by the next general convention,” KC said. Asked whether there will be any working alliance with the Maoists, KC said unless they stop attacking civilians, there is very little chance of negotiation with them.
