No amendment, no support to government, DPM Yadav says

POKHARA: Speaking at a press meet organised by Federal Press Forum, Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Upendra Yadav on Saturday said that Federal Socialist Forum would withdraw its support to the government if constitution amendment is delayed further.

"The prime minister has assured that he won't back off from his assurance on an amendment. Nonetheless, we also know for how long our patience will last," the DPM said.

DPM Yadav also warned that the moment his party feels the government has not worked for public welfare, improvement in economic indicators and amendment, it will withdraw its support to Oli-led government.

"Our party will have no reasons to stay in government berth if the government fails us to deliver results based on agreements that aspired us to be in government in first place," DPM Yadav said.

People's living standard would not improve unless the government with a two-thirds majority focuses its attention on solving issues that have hindered economic growth and on resolving political rows, he added.
