No development in eight districts

SURKHET: Development activities has been nil in eight districts of Karnali Province. According to sources at the Provincial Treasury Comptroller Office of Surkhet, no development activities have been implemented in districts other than Surkhet and Rukum.

Furthermore, as per data with the office, the government has spent 10.1 million rupees in Surkhet in the first quarter, of the fiscal, while some 222,387 rupees has been spent in Rukum.

However, districts such as Humla, Mugu, Jumla, Kalikot, Dailekh, Jajarkot, Salyan and Dolpa have seen zero development activities run by the provincial government so far this fiscal.
