No development without left government, says UML chief

Biratnagar, November 19

CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli today said the left alliance should take up the reins of government for the country’s speedy development.

Oil said this while addressing an election rally organised at Biratchowk of Sundar Haraicha Municipality in Morang. He also said his party and the CPN-Maoist Centre had forged the alliance to create a potent communist force. “Our two parties will go for merger after the parliamentary and provincial polls,” Oli added.

Oli urged people to vote for the left alliance for protection of national sovereignty, complete implementation of the statute and swift development of the country. He also claimed that the government to be formed after the polls would be stable and efficient.

Oli further said the NC-led democratic alliance was ‘a Lilliput in front of the left alliance’. “When I started the communist movement, there were just seven members in the party. Now, communists have spread across the country,” Oli added, suggesting the nationwide impact the left alliance would have in the upcoming elections.
