No dispute among three tiers of govt: Prime Minister Oli

Biratnagar, June 9

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today clarified that there was no misunderstanding among the federal, provincial and local governments.

Addressing a meeting of Province 1 Provincial Assembly in Biratnagar, Oli dismissed reports of misunderstanding among three tiers of the governments. “A rumour was spread that province governments and central government had a misunderstanding. But, there is no such dispute and misunderstanding,” Oli said.

Oli, who spoke for more than one and a half hours while addressing the PA, spent most of his time talking about development possibilities in Province 1. He urged the law makers from the province to work sincerely for the development and prosperity of the province.

Stating that highest peak of the world Mount Everest and lowest land of Nepal were located in the province, Oli requested to all and sundry to identify the resources and tap them for the development.

Oli also said that his government would take action against the people involved in corruption. He urged the province government, employees and other agencies to adopt zero tolerance against corruption.

Oli argued that no one could break the unity of the people from the mountains, hills and the Tarai. He said that the government had presented the budget in line with the slogan of ‘prosperous Nepal, happy Nepalis’.

He said his government had started a campaign to end corruption and speed up development work. He stressed the need to expedite development work in the province.
