No need to raise issue of province name, HQ: CM

Province 3 Chief Minister Dormani Poudel said there would be no need to raise the issues of provincial headquarters and the name of the province in the Provincial Assembly in the future.

Responding to a question raised by the main opposition party leader Indra Bahadur Baniya in the Provincial Assembly here today, Chief Minister Poudel vowed that there would not be any need to raise the issues of the name and headquarters of the province in the future sessions of Province 3 assembly.

Baniya, in yesterday’s meeting, had sought answer from the government, accusing the government of failing to finalise matters related to the name of the province and its headquarters.

In today’s meeting, the chief minister claimed that the government was all ready to take strides in development.

“As the government has passed the difficult phase, now is the time to take strides in development,”

he said.

According to the chief minister, his government was carrying out a special programme for the control of dengue that has gripped the entire country for the past few months.
