No respite from diarrhoea in Saptari
Rajbiraj, November 4:
There is no respite from diarrhoea in Saptari district and the disease has claimed the lives of 32 people, said the Saptari District Public Health Office.
According to the administrator of the DPHO, Rakeshkumar Thakur, 48 Village Development Committees , including the Dalit localities — Kushaha, Kalyanpur, Bhangaha, Malhaniya, Maubaha, Kobarsain, Manaraja Kaban, Shambhunath, Jandaul, Hariharpur and Pakari — have been hit by the disease.
He added that Dighawa, Itahari Bishnupur, Kochabakhari, Barahi Birpur, Chhinnamasta, Dadha, Mahadev, Deurimawi, Maruwa, Bisahariya, Launiya, Tilathi, Sakarpura, Malhaniya, Koiladi Barsain, Koiladi and Baramajhiya were also badly affected by the disease.
Tube-wells in Koiladi Madhepura, Kochabakhari, Topa, Baramajhiya, and Kanchanpur were tested positive for the disease-spreading virus.
