No respite from transport stir
KHOTANG: The transport strike called by the transport entrepreneurs of Khotang for the third consecutive day has crippled normal life in the district.
The daily lives of people has been badly affected as all transport services have been halted in the district.
The DAO called an all party meeting today to settle the demands of the transport entrepreneurs. It is likely that the people will face three more days of the strike as the talks will be held after three days due to the absence of some representatives.
The DAO called an all party meeting to resolve the problem as the transport entrepreneurs warned of further protest accusing authorities concerned of not paying any heed to their demands. The transport entrepreneurs halted all kinds of transportation service demanding security to the transport entrepreneurs and the smooth operation of transportation in the district.
Meanwhile, locals of Durchhim area have been obstructing Durchhim section of the Hile-Halesi-Diktel road since June 7 demanding smooth operation of the transportation service and the involvement of local people for the maintenance of the road.
