Norwegian runs from Everest to Kathmandu to collect fund

KATHMANDU: A Norwegian man is running from the Everest base camp to Kathmandu in a bid to reach the Nepal Capital in one go.

A participant of the 14th edition of Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon, Jamie Ross Mackenzie from Oslo has launched the record run attempt as a part of charity campaign to collect funds for the Himalayan Trust, the organisation established by Sir Edmund Hillary in 1960.

The organisation works to support development activities in the Everest region of Nepal.

Mackenzie started his run from the Everest Base Camp along with the participants of Everest Marathon this morning.
