Number of patients rise due to soaring heat in Baitadi
BAITADI: The number of people visiting health institutions in Baitadi district has increased owing to the scorching heat.
Around 70 patients suffering from different diseases including fever and diarrhoea visit the District Hospital, Baitadi every day, according to Health Assistant at the District Public Health Office, Santosh Pandey.
Mostly, children, women and elderly persons are found suffering from the ailments and visiting the hospital. Due to crisis of clean drinking water, adequate attention to sanitation and personal hygiene could not be maintained which has led to the increase in number of patients.
It has been learnt that the flow of patients has increased not only at the District Hospital, but also at other health institutions in the district.
Health workers have advised the people to pay special attention to cleanliness and food habits during the summer season.
