PHALEBAS, PARBAT: The number of viral fever patients has been increasing at the District Hospital in Parbat for the past few days.

According to the Hospital sources, around 120 patients suffering from viral fever visit the hospital every day. The number was only around 50 earlier.

The fever cases have increased by three times to that of the patients who visited the hospital in the past two weeks, with most with complaints of viral fever.

Mostly the children as well as elderly people have been affected from the fever, according to the District Public Health Office

Dr Buddhi Bahadur Thapa, the chief of the hospital said that the number has increased due to consumption of contaminated water.

Meanwhile, the health workers in each health post in the district, have been directed to provide patients with round-the-clock care along with medicines.
