NVC registration for agricultural sciences college
Kathmandu, June 23:
Nepal Veterinary Council has awarded temporary registration to Himalayan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (HICAST) affiliated to Purbanchal University as per the Nepal Veterinary Council Act, 1999.
According to Dr Subarna Lal Shrestha, the director of veterinary programme at the Himalayan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, the registration was awarded as it meets the minimum standards of Veterinary Education Degree Course, Bachelors in Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry as stated in the Nepal Veterinary Council Regulation 2007.
HICAST, the first private college of veterinary and agriculture in Nepal, was established in the year 2000 and currently runs courses of B Sc (Honours) Agriculture, Bachelors in Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, M Sc (Dairy Technology) and M Sc (Meat Technology), he said.
