Olis advice to Maoists
ILAM: CPN-UML leader KP Sharma Oli today said the UCPN-Maoist had been staging a political drama in the country, but naming it as a fight for national independence.
Talking to mediapersons here, he said the Maoists were proving their political immaturity. He suggested the Maoists correct their anarchic activities and move ahead forging consensus with other political parties. He also opined that all the stakeholders should be united for a prosperous Nepal. Progressive thought is a must for the development of the country, he added.
Stating that he was not against the Maoists, he said that he just wanted the party to correct themselves in time and prevent the Maoists and the nation from plunging into disaster.
Regarding the recently formed high-level mechanism, Oli said that only the three leaders in the mechanism knew about the duties and responsibilities of the panel.
Saying that the constitution should be drafted within the stipulated time, Oli said the country would face a disaster if the statute was not drafted on time.
Oli further said that the state restructuring should consider the local resources and the reasonable participation of the people of the area.
