Om Gas found cheating consumers

KATHMANDU: Nepal Bureau of Standard and Metrology and its Regional Office, Balaju, have found Dhading-based Om Gas Factory being involved in cheating its costumers.

It was revealed on Monday in course of monitoring that 150-450 gram gas was found less in each cylinder.

Similarly, gas cylinders stored at Sagarmatha Gas Depot in Pepsikola, Siddhartha Gas Depot in Balkumari, Lumbini Gas Depot in Lalitpur and Tribeni Gas Depot in Koteswor were found underweight.

Office Chief Shashi Bhusan Yadav said that many of the gas factories and depots were found selling underweight and empty gas cylinders against the set measurement standards.
