3 kids hurt in blast

KAVRE: Three children were injured when a bomb lying in the backward of a house in Chhatre Banjha VDC-3 of Kavrepalanchowk went off on Wednesday, Bhakunde-based brigade number 9 of the Royal Nepalese Army said. Asmita Timilsina (11), Susmita Timilsina (8), daughters of Arjun Timilsina, and Dipak Lamichhane (15), of Phulbari VDC were injured in the blast. — HNS

German lady missing

KATHMANDU: The whereabouts of a German trekker, Kristina Kovacevic, 41, who is reported to have gone missing from Khumbu region on March 13, are still unknown. Kovacevic reportedly sent her mail on March 13 from Namche Bazar on her way up to Gorak Shep. Nobody has heard from her since. She is said to be an experienced traveller and had holidayed in Nepal before. She was expected to arrive in Bali, Indonesia, in May but she never showed up. — HNS
