Tiger kills two

NAWALPARASI: A tiger mauled two women, who had entered the Royal Chitwan National Park to collect wild berries, to death on Friday, locals said, adding that three of their friends managed to escape. The deceased were identified as 25-year-old Shanti Rimal and Indra Kumari Thapa, 40, of Kumarwarti VDC-8, Baraulitar. — HNS

Mobile services camp

DHADING: A mobile services camp will be held at Benighat VDC in Bisaltar of Dhading district on December 2 and 3. Free government services related to citizenship certificates, passport, health check-up, land revenue, drinking water, soil test, agriculture, seeds and fertilizer, allowances, forest, irrigation, education and women development will be provided to the people at the camp, according to the Chief District Officer Ram Sharan Chimoria. — RSS

DHUNCHE: The first general conference of Disabled Rehabilitation Centre, Dhanusha, concluded here on Friday. The conference was held with the ‘’Let’s serve by soul, words and deeds.’’ Inaugurating the conference, chairman of the National Federation of the Disabled, Birendra Raj Pokharel, said a sound coordination should exist between the government and non-government bodies for the uplift of the disabled people.— RSS

BAJUR: A district-level coordination meeting was organised here on Saturday with a view to building a common consensus among all the government, non-government and development organisations of Bajura on development initiatives.
