MAHOTTARI: The ANNISU-R Mahottari district committee chairman Shatrughan Shah alias Sanjeev surrendered before security forces at District Police Office, Mahottari on Tuesday. Shah, a permanent resident of Balwa VDC-4 of Mahottari, was actively involved in Maoist party since past five years. — HNS

Relief for victims

CHITWAN: The Nepal Red Cross Society branch office, Chitwan, has collected money worth Rs 73, 472 for the earthquake victim of Pakistan. The branch office reported that the amount has been collected as a relief assistance from various branches and sub-branch offices, and will be sent promptly to authorities. — RSS

Eye camp held

MYAGDI: Some 1,158 persons were benefited from a five days long free eye camp held at Darbang Bazaar, Myagdi by Nepal Red Cross Society district branch recently. Medical professionals of Himalayan Eye Hospital had provided services at the camp. Of the patients examined, 153 underwent cataract operation. — RSS
