Three Indians killed

PARASI: Three passengers died and 22 others were injured when two buses collided at Gaidakot in Nawalparasi on Friday. The deceased include Ram Shankar Pandey of Madhya Pradesh, his wife Naha Giha and Phulmati Sani — all Indian nationals, the police informed. All the three deceased were travelling in a bus bearing the Indian registration number plate. Seven critically injured are undergoing treatment at Bharatpur Hospital in Chitwan.— HNS

One killed in mishap

TANSEN: Khum Bahadur Khatri (38) of Madanpokhara-4, Palpa was killed and three others were injured in a road accident at Lamidanda of Tansen in Palpa district on Friday. Khatri succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment in Tansen, police said. The accident took place when a bus en route Butwal from Tansen rear-ended a jeep which before it. — HNS

Trio held with skulls

SANKHUWASABHA: Police held three persons in possession of five human skulls from Shitalpati VDC of Sankhuwasabha district on Friday. According to police, Ram Bahadur BK (55), his son Naina Kumar BK (23) and Hira Prasad Rai (37) — all from Shitalpati — were those arrested.— HNS
