LAHAN: Umesh Yadav, a school principal and resident of Bhawanipur Kalabanjar VDC-5, was stabbed to death by Ram Lochan, a cousin of Umesh, on Tuesday, the police said, adding that Ram Lochan got infuriated and stabbed Umesh when he saw Umesh’s cow grazing on his field. — HNS

Price hike opposed

PALPA: Different organisations held a demonstration to protest against the recent Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) price hike in Tansen, headquarters of Palpa district, on Tuesday. One escapes captivity

BARA: Indian police rescued Anil Agrawal, son of a trader Satya Narayan Agrawal, from the captivity of his abductors from Birgunj on Monday, police said. A gang had abducted him from Makkar Sugar Mill, Bara, and had taken to an unknown location. — HNS
