Maoists’ bodies found

KATHMANDU: The RNA’s Directorate of Public Relation (DPR) stated that the forces have found several buried bodies of Maoists killed during Thursday’s clash at Khara of Rukum. The DPR statement issued on Tuesday said 35 bodies were found buried in Arma and Muru near Khara. — HNS

Two in critical condition

POKHARA: Two civilians, who were injured in a bomb explosion in Chiplebazaar of Pokhara on Monday, are in a critical condition. Nirmal Ale of Syangja and Rabi Mohan Banstola of Ganesh Tole, Pokhara, are undergoing treatment in the Western Regional Hospital and Manipal Hospital. — HNS

7 NC women cadres held

BIRGUNJ: Police arrested seven women cadres of NC from Maithan as they were protesting in a peaceful rally on Tuesday. The cadres were carrying party flags and demanding restoration of democracy. — HNS

Held with leopard skin

POKHARA: One person was arrested with leopard and tiger skins from Pokhara on Tuesday. Police arrested Chhudip Lama, 34, of Kagbeni in Mustang district. Lama was carrying the skins in a plastic bag when the security forces of the RNA’s West Division were checking bus passengers. — HNS

Thote festival ends

POKHARA: With the slogans “Preserve national culture, celebrate Thote festival,” the Gurungs of Pokhara observed Thote festival on Tuesday. The festival, celebrated by the Tum Community, was organised by Tum Dhin, Kaski. The Gurungs wore their traditional dresses and participated in a procession. — HNS
