Maoists kill 2, injure 4

Maoists shot dead two persons on Thursday night in Pidariguthi VDC-3 accusing them of kidnapping an Indian national Balindra Prasad, 70. Locals identified the deceased as Jugal Miya, 36 of Bisharampur and Wakilray Bhar. Meanwhile, in Dhangadhi one policeman and three civilians were injured when Maoists shot at a police team posted at the Traffic Chowk on Friday morning. Police head constable Dhan Singh Nagar and civilians Pardeshi Yadav, Manouddhin Saha and Shiva Kumar Karki were critically injured and are undergoing treatment in the Seti Zonal Hospital, Dhangadi. Police said preparations are on to airlift them to Kathmandu.— HNS
