Two found dead

PALPA: A person was found dead in the premises of Narayansthan Temple in Tansen Municipality, Palpa, on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Man Bahadur Pandey, 45, a resident of Butwal-13, the Palpa District Police Office said. Meanwhile, Dhaneshwor Paudel, 73, a resident of Madanpokhara-5, drowned in a nearby pond on Saturday, police said. — HNS

Armed gang loots 4

RAUTAHAT: An armed gang looted three houses in Bhawanipur VDC of Rautahat on Friday night. “The gang has looted the houses belonging to Shek Mustak, Moharam Ansari and Abibul Rahman,” locals said, adding, “the looters had fled away when the neighbours arrived.” “The trio has lost Rs 1.5 lakh in the loot,” Garuda Area Police Office said In another incident, businessman Suresh Yadav, a resident of Gaur-12 said that a gang looted Rs 50,000 from him on Friday night. “The gang looted me while I was returning home from Garuda at 8.00 pm,” the victim said. — HNS

Shanischare: Five members of the same family of Bahundangi, Jhapa, have been infected with HIV-AIDS, said a non-governmental organisation. According to the National HIV and AIDS Federation, Jhapa, this was found in husband, wife, sister, son and daughter in the family. They have been undergoing treatment in Biratnagar for the past three weeks. They were sent for treatment with the cooperation of the Federation and the Night Chess Club, Kakarbhitta, said Club Chairman Balajit Rai. Their blood was tested in an ICC programme organised by the Club six months ago, said Rai. Blood of everyone was seen infected after husband who returned from New Delhi, India from his job, was suspected, he said. They cannot be made public for social sensitivity. — RSS
