Father, son attacked

DHADING: A father and son were injured when they were attacked with khukuris by unidentified persons donning masks in Samaridanda of Dhading's Salang VDC-8 on Sunday night. 55-year-old Khil Giri was critically injured in the attack while his son Narayan sustained minor injuries, the police said. Khil Giri has been referred to a Kathmandu based hospital while his son had returned home after treatment, District Police Office Dhading said. — THT Online

‘Killer’ absconding

BHOJPUR: Kabiraj Rai, a resident of Chhinamakhu-3 has absconded after murdering Subas Chandra Rai, 35, a resident of Chhinamakhu-1 in Bhojpur district on Friday night. Kabiraj shot dead Subas following a personal dispute, the police said. Subas who was critically injured in the incident, died while he was undergoing treatment in a hospital. — THT Online
