LPG cylinders seized

KATHMANDU: A monitoring team led by under-secretary at Department of Commerce (DoC) Tika Prasad Bhandary seized 42 cylinders of Everest Gas that were kept illegally from a gas depot at KMC-14, near Balkhu, on Thursday. Issuing a release here on Thursday, the DoC stated that the gas dealer has been directed to present himself before the DAO within 24 hours. — HNS

Bus mishap, two dead

DHADING: Two people were killed when a bus hit a motorcycle in Dhading on Thursday. The police identified the deceased as motorcyclist Sundar Shrestha, 28, of Parbat and pillion rider Yamuna Gauchan, 23, of Burtibang VDC-7 of Baglung. Five passengers of the Butwal-bound bus were also injured in the accident. — RSS

Youth burnt to death

SANKHUWASABHA: Kamala Rai, 25, of Nepaldanda VDC-5 in Bhojpur was burnt to death on Wednesday after she caught fire when she had poured kerosene over her body to get rid of lice. Her husband Tara Indra Rai, she breathed her last on the way to a hospital in Sankhuwasabha. — HNS
